FAQs

 Are your dishes food safe?

Yes. We fire our stoneware clay to 2250 degrees. This means that our clay is vitrified (fired to its most mature state) and is no longer brittle or porous. Glazes are lead free.

Can we run the dishes through a dishwasher?

Yes. Since we fire these so high, the density of the clay is higher, which means they can handle the heat of an industrial dishwasher, a home dish washer, and a microwave.

Can I purchase and individual piece?

The short answer is no. This line is only available for bulk or wholesale orders. This means any company looking to use or sell these pieces can buy them. However, if you find this line in a shop you love for sale, you can own an individual Highland piece.

How do I purchase Highland pieces?

To purchase, fill out the contact form with your inquiry. We will get in touch as soon as possible and send you an invoice.

Why do the pieces I received look different than what’s on your website?

Every piece received is handmade. Because of this, there will be variation in every product. Glazes are mixed and applied by hand. Sometimes glaze consistency can vary, causing slight imperfections. These variations and inconsistencies have no effect on the function of the piece.

Pieces arrived broken, what do I do?

Receiving broken work is no fun. Please send us an email of the broken work and we will get replacements sent to you ASAP.
